BMW Group publishes SORDI
2022, June
Created and rendered with NVIDIA Omniverse, SORDI (Synthetic Object Recognition Dataset for Industries) is the world's largest and most comprehensive synthetic dataset for industries. Idealworks and BMW Group TechOffice Munich are collaborating with NVIDIA and Microsoft on SORDI to help developers and researchers to streamline and accelerate the training of artificial intelligence in production. It contains 80 object classes, and over 800000 photorealistic images and their modalities. SORDI is designed to suit general image processing tasks including classification, object detection or segmentation.
We are very proud to be a design collaborator on this cutting-edge project. The Academy worked alongside idealworks to assist in the design and renders for the SORDI website. The SORDI datasets are comprised of synthetic images of a library of 3D assets, many of which are authored by the Academy team.
