Daniel Fisher announced as Academy Award Recipient at 2021 Design Festival Awards Night

2021, December

Last week at the 2021 QUT Design Festival Awards Night Daniel Fisher was awarded with the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy award for ‘the most innovative, interesting or intelligent use of technology, in an Industrial Design project’. Daniel’s Industrial Design Capstone project, titled LOOP, greatly impressed us with it’s clever use of technology to solve the issue of fast fashion while adding value and meaning to items of clothing for the owners.

Congratulations to the other nominees for this award, Epifanio Pereira and John Hardy. You can read about Daniel’s design here. Too see all of the final year students’ work across the QUT School of Design, head to the Design Festival website.
