Jacob Ho: A Passion For All Things 3D

Hello there! My name is Jacob Ho, and I'm excited to be writing my first blog post to introduce myself to you all. I have recently joined the BMW + QUT Design Academy as a Junior Design Associate, where I'll be working part-time on some exciting special projects. Working alongside such a talented team is an opportunity that I am looking forward to, and I can't wait to develop new skills and gain experience in this role.

My passion for 3D visualization and rendering has been brewing ever since I was a student at QUT studying Industrial Design. As a designer, I am always striving to create innovative ways to visualize ideas through different images and animations. The freedom that comes with creating 3D visuals is unmatched, and it enables me to use my creativity to bring ideas to life in a visually compelling manner.

To enhance my skills in this area, I have been learning about colour theory, physics simulation, scene composition, and other techniques that help me create engaging 3D visuals that can tell a story effectively. After graduating from QUT, I started freelancing in product rendering, 3D animation, and graphic design, which allowed me to work with various clients and refine my skills as a designer. Through these projects, I've learned how clear communication and collaboration are key to creating successful designs.

At the BMW + QUT Design Academy, I'll have the chance to work on a range of projects that connect with BMW groups, particularly in the visualization area. I'm excited to collaborate with the team to develop large-scale animations and 3D environments that I haven't had the opportunity to work on before. I'm eager to learn from this experience and expand my visual skills.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction, and I'm excited to share my journey with you all. The future holds endless possibilities, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.
