Daniel Fisher: From Intern to Staff Member

Hi, I'm Daniel Fisher, a Junior Design Associate at the BMW + QUT Design Academy. I'm passionate about using my skills in design and business to advocate for customers and users of products and businesses. I love how design can play a role in various aspects of businesses, from brand communications to product and system visualisation, strategy, and business models. Over the years I have refined my interests and skills particularly in finding an interest in systems and customer experience design during my final year project at QUT, this was the project where I found the bigger picture and impact design can have on the world we live in.

Having worked closely with the Academy previously and as part of Impact Lab 4 during my studies, I knew how valuable being a part of this team would be, so naturally, when the opportunity arose I took it and it has been a fantastic opportunity for me to apply and further develop the skills I've acquired in the industry, and to work on exciting projects for a global corporation like BMW Group. I'm eager to take my industrial design skills to the next level and provide real value to the team, and the projects we work on, while also making new friends and connections with the Academy team and our partners worldwide. 

I want to thank everyone at the Academy for making me feel welcome and giving me the chance to be part of the team. I'm excited to see what we can achieve together!
