Academy Design Associate, Epifanio Pereira, wins a Good Design Award!

A huge congratulations to our very own Design Associate and QUT Industrial Design graduate, Epi Pereira, for his recent win at the Good Design Australia awards! Epi won the award for his final year honours project; Overwatch: Towards Surgical Autonomy. His project focused on developing a safe and effective design to implement AI, automation, thermal sensing, imagine recognition and smart sensors into the medical environment for future surgical procedures. Ultimately his design proposes to save lives during strenuous medical conditions.

We are extremely fortunate to have Epi as part of the Academy team. He brings so much knowledge and enthusiasm that we are incredibly lucky to have. Massive congratulations once again, Epi!
