Congratulations to the talented students who completed the Semester 1, 2022 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Program through the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy. The talent and ability of the four students; Ashely Fenton, Elizabeth Moss, Henry Gomez-Borowski and Magnus Schultz, genuinely blew us away. It is really encouraging to see that each semester the quality of the work continues to improve. It was also fantastic to have our first graduates of the WIL Internship Program working out of our new offices; Alpha Studios and Beta Labs, at Kelvin Grove campus.
This semester the WIL students worked on a range of exciting projects including the future of supercar design (Magnus Schultz), infrastructure tech for autonomous mobile robots in factory settings (Henry Gomez-Borowski), and a third project with BMW Group that is currently classified (Elizabeth Moss and Ashley Fenton). The final outcomes far exceeded our expectations and were very well received by BMW Group colleagues in Munich. It is likely that some of these projects will continue on to further development and possibly to production and deployment in the near future.
Once again we congratulate the students on an incredible semester! We are really excited to see where these talented group of students will take their careers, and we know that they will go on to great things!
