Congratulations to our Semester 1, 2024 WIL Interns!
2024, May
Our Semester 1 2024 Academy WIL interns presented their final design concepts to us, and we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional work they delivered. All four interns exhibited a high level of creativity, professionalism, and skill development over the course of the internship.
Industrial Design undergaduates, Lewis Webb and Aalisha Kiri, worked together to produce an exhibition booth concept to BMW TechOffice Munich. The purpose of the booth design was to show off the SORDI project to the public in a more engaging way, suitable for use at large events like the recent Hannover Messe.
Lewis and Aalisha each worked on their own interaction design concept within the booth, showing off a specific functionality of SORDI. This included a defect detection challenge and projection graphics combined with metadata.
Visual Communication Design students Chloe Leung and Avery Wang amazed us with their refreshed Academy branding. They developed and refined various elements of the Academy's visual identity across social media, website and documentation.
Their work included the application of a new typeface, additional colours for our programs, and some new graphics - reinforcing our qualities and characteristics of professionalism, creativity and technology, approachability and innovation.
Congratulations, Lewis, Aalisha, Chloe and Avery, on your work and thank you for a wonderful semester with the team.
