Although we’ve had award-winning designers as part of the team (Jordan Domjahn - Graduate of The Year Award Winner; Dylan Sheppard - Graduate of The Year Award Winner; BraunPrize Finalist) we are always proud of the talent of our team here at the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy. And now we can announce more award success from the super talented team of students, graduates and staff members that have been involved as part of the academy family. In the span of two weeks several awards have been announced at national and international level. First of all congratulations to Epi Pereira, our talented junior design associate, for winning a coveted IF Design Talent Award 2021 with a team of young designers from around the world for their ORA: Dinning Service System. Huge congratulations to one of our BMW Group intern Rachel Stevens, who was just awarded a prestigious Good Design Award for her project Releaf: a device to help people suffering from chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Finally, our accomplished Founder and Lead, Associate Professor Rafael Gomez, and our Research Associate, James Dwyer, were part of a research team that won two Good Design Awards for their work with Queensland Health! The first award was in the Public Sector Services category, and the second was in the Social Impact category. These accolades highlights how fortunate we are to have this level of talent in our ranks. Congratulations to all - we are so incredibly proud of our super capable team!
