Isaac Bonora receives the Academy Award at the 2022 Design Festival Awards Night

2022, December

A big congratulations goes to Isaac Bonora, who was the recipient of the Academy sponsored award at the 2022 QUT Design Festival Awards night! Isaac won our award for “The most innovative, interesting or intelligent use of technology in an Industrial Design final year project”, which also took into account the quality of presentation and academic excellence. We considered his project, called modClave, to be a thoughtful and clever solution to reducing medical waste. Isaac also won the Vesna Popovic award for design leadership.

Congratulations to the other nominees for the Academy award, Liam Georgenson and Luke Smitheram. It was a very difficult decision having to choose between the 3 projects!
You can see Isaac’s project in detail on the QUT Design Festival website.
