Academy Associate Taharah Ali announced as a James Dyson Award Australian Runner-up!

A huge congratulations to our very own Communications Associate and QUT Industrial Design graduate, Taharah Ali, for her recent win as an Australian Runner-up for the James Dyson Awards! Taharah won the National Runner-up award for her final year capstone project, Koro Alert Siren. Her project is an innovative design solution to enhance the preparedness of remote communities in the Pacific Islands during natural disasters. It not only addresses immediate concerns but also demonstrates a commitment to long-term sustainability and preserving the unique cultural and ecological diversity of the Pacific Islands.

We are extremely fortunate to have Taharah as part of the Academy team. She brings so much knowledge and enthusiasm that we are incredibly lucky to have. Massive congratulations once again, Taharah!
