Learning and Growing while Interning at BMW Group

Working at BMW in Munich alongside industry professionals has been a really special opportunity for me. The experience over the last 6 months has allowed me to grow as an individual and as a new industry professional. I am challenged and encouraged everyday to push my skills and grow as a designer. BMW has also exposed me to various different projects, from UX/UI design through to the development of an evolving 3D production pipeline. The environment has allowed me to develop new knowledge in 3D modelling and texturing programs alongside system workflows for implementation.

The work environment that the team has created draws together the knowledge of designers and engineers to develop industry leading projects. I am incredibly grateful that I have been able to be a part of this team and learn from inspiring and encouraging industry professionals. Overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic was handled flawlessly by the team and allowed us to continue working on projects during this challenging period. I am excited to continue to learn and develop new skills that I can apply in future roles in the workforce.

Living and working in Munich has been remarkable. It has allowed me to explore the German culture and traditions alongside the opportunity to explore various countries around Europe. The opportunity has been filled with incredible experiences and I am very excited to see what challenges the next few months have to offer.
